The Author Spotlight Interview with Cherie Cotner
Cherie grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Milby High School in 1977. Cherie attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. Her car accident occurred only six months after the wedding. Despite the obstacles in front of her, she went on to work in community relations at Carter Blood Center, and had two children. Cherie is currently retired and resides in College Station,Texas and enjoys volunteer work. Her joy, is visiting her daughter, Carissa, and son-in–law, Richard, and four grandchildren, Connor, Elsie, Brodie and Ronald in Houston, Texas.
Breaking Your Neck is a Pain in the Butt: How I Handled Life’s Challenges with Grace and Humor
Cherie began writing her book, “Breaking Your Neck is a Pain in the Butt”, years ago, shortly after she was injured in 1983. The title came first and the book just evolved over time when crazy things kept happening. It is the culmination of Christmas letters written over the years in chronological order and life lessons along the way.
It was her hope that it might help someone else in a similar situation deal more positively with their outcome in life. She has been blessed throughout her life and hopes this book blesses others as well.
